Two teens on adventures: one to save the world and the other trying to cure his boredom. Reviewed on: PC Broken Age: Act II solves nearly all of the sins of the first half of the game while stumbling into a fair share of new ones. I will NEVER use Priceline or Hertz again. by Ty Edwards - October 2, 2018, 10:16 am EDT Discuss in talkback 7.5. I was at the Hertz rental place for three hours before I got out of town. Two cars later, I was finally on the road in a vehicle that smelled like smoke and only had half a tank of gas. While Broken Age does provide a lot of polish and quality, the lack of actual content makes it a huge disappointment, even more so coming from someone that has been in the industry longer than I’ve lived. Broken Age is a uniquely told story of two young people, Vella and Shay, who seem to live very different but equally difficult lives. They told me not to worry about it and I had to insist on taking a different car, because had something gone wrong I would have been responsible. The story revolves around a young woman in a village and a young man on a spaceship who decide to question what they've been taught, pitting their lives on a bizarre collision course. The gorgeous art style and paintbrush visuals are like nothing that has come before, and the witty writing and funny. The “maintenance required, return car to dealership light” came on after 20 minutes in the first car they gave me, requiring me to turn around and drive back to the rental place for another car. Parents need to know that Broken Age Act 2 is the downloadable second half of a point-and-click adventure game. Playing Broken Age is like interacting with a children’s book come to life. Nevertheless, Act 1 lands dead center in. Good-natured humour is difficult to pull off, but Broken Age manages to do it, with many moments that are clever rather than crass, charming rather than devlish. When I tried to cancel my reservation so I could just drive my own car - this was for business, both Priceline who I booked the car through and hertz refused to refund me. That’s the closest thing to creative evolutionthe thing that feels the most new-school in Broken Age, Act 1. There was no indication when I booked that I could not leave my car at the rental place so I had to spend significant time finding a place to park my car including having someone come and pick me up so they could take me back to the car rental pick up.
